Portland Police Bureau

The Portland Police Bureau keeps statistics on crime and public safety on their website. You can look up statistics by neighborhood on their CrimeStats website.

Lents is part of the East Precinct of the Portland Police Bureau. The East Precinct is smallest precinct by square mileage but the largest by population.

In an emergency, you should always call 911, but the police bureau also maintains a 24-hour non-emergency number (also known as the Telephone Report Unit (TRU): 503-823-3333

This number is staffed by officers who answer calls from the non-emergency telephone line of the Police Bureau. This helps free Police Officer time for investigations that are more serious and problem solving efforts. The Police Officers in TRU help meet the community’s needs by providing advice and information; and writing Police Reports for callers who do not need a personal police response.
